Fried Green Tomatoes
Like many southern recipes, this is so easy as to be trivial. But (again, like many southern recipes) it tastes great.
- Green Tomatoes
- Oil or butter
- Slice the tomatoes to 1/4
- Dip them in the cornmeal (dip them in water first, or even egg, if they’re dry)
- Fry ‘em in a shallow pan with ample oil
- Soak on paper towels
